Pietro has been teaching undergraduate and graduate film classes at top US film schools including CalArts, UCLA, and SFFS since 2017.
He is currently teaching Advanced Producing and Directing at SFFS, working alongside several Oscar-nominated artists. Pietro is the Film Chair for the California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA).
CSSSA
In 2023, Pietro became the Film Chair at California’s most prestigious youth summer program for the arts, hosted at CalArts in Los Angeles. Overseeing curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and film department budget, he actively collaborates with esteemed institutions such as the American Cinematheque and The Golden Globe Foundation to foster the next generation of filmmakers.

Apulia International Film Workshop 2022
In 2022, Pietro created the SFSU Summer International Film Workshop in Bari (Italy). During the four-week intensive program, students created four short documentary films.
